Salesforce Genie: The Real-Time Customer Data Platform
One of the highlights of Dreamforce 2022 was the unveiling of Salesforce Genie, a real-time customer data platform. Sanjana Parulekar, senior director of product marketing at Salesforce, shared how Genie empowers businesses by delivering personalized experiences across various domains, including sales, service, marketing, and more.
By leveraging real-time data within the Salesforce platform, Genie enables companies to build the tailored experiences their customers desire.
It is built on Hyperforce Salesforce's public cloud infrastructure, which helps to assimilate and store real-time data streams at a vast scale and unite them with transactional data. With Genie, companies can bring data from various sources like mobile, web, and APIs, legacy data using MuleSoft, and historical data from proprietary data lakes.
Slack Canvas: A New Surface for Slack Customers
Salesforce announced a new Slack Canvas, a new surface for Slack customers arriving next year. Slack Canvas allows employees to curate, organize, and share resources, offering a single place for status updates and finding important information.
Users can view previews of user-shared text, videos, and images and play videos on Canvas without leaving Slack. Slack Canvas is also available with other Salesforce products in the form of embedded workflows and updated information.
Improved Version of Slack Huddles
Salesforce also unveiled an enhanced version of Slack Huddles, which allows your workforce to reach out to each other with the help of audio, video, and multi-person screen sharing.
Depending on the plan, this version offers more participants, from 50 with a paid one to 2 with a free one. These are available on the Slack desktop and Mobile App Plus for Chrome and Firefox browsers.
Net Zero Marketplace
Salesforce launched its Net Zero Marketplace at Dreamforce 2022. This marketplace will be available in the US in October 2023 but will come to other countries in 2024.
The Net Zero Marketplace is a platform for companies to sell their carbon credits if they fulfill their net-zero commitments. It also offers third-party-rated carbon credits and an e-commerce portal to buy them.
